The Solstice Sky Image is a result of utilizing the limitless output potential of the RAW file format.

The original image was used as a source to output to different color temperatures with the intent to create an interpretative view of the scene.

The only other work done in Photoshop besides the Layer Masking process, was to clone some of the edge of the cloud, onto the section of the image where the light from sun behind the cloud, had created a hot spot, or as we say in the biz- a circular area of specularity.
