Location – Waldo’s Coffee on Heights Blvd.
We are spending a very relaxing Sunday afternoon discussing potential domain names for Monica’s pending blog and it looks like it may be turning into a nice collaborative thang as Monica has offered to help me with my Faith Healer project regarding some translation. And we are going to do some research on Belly Dancing and sample some of the food at Saffron Moroccan Cuisine on Lexington Street.   Too much fun!

Dinner with Chris, Johnny & Roberto

Spent a fabulous evening on  9/4/2010 . . . and  hung out with my friends Chris Grossgart & John Sturtevant  at their new home out in southwest Houston. John’s  ”bro” from Boston . . . the inimitable, Robert Sturtevant was visiting to support moving stuff from point A to point B.

John, Robert and myself jammed on some tunes utilizing the two  guitars, funky upright bass, harmonica’s and some percussion gear that John provided.   Later on, we  feasted on some fabulous rack of lamb,  prepared by the “hostess with the most’est” , , ,  Chris.

We smoked churchills ( not Chris) and drank some fine red wines.  A good time was had by all.

It was my first time to meet Roberto . . . and we “hit if off” and had some great conversation about fear & love, sales & marketing and life in general.

By Sylvester Garza

If you’re in business you’ve got to have business cards, right? Well the next thing you should explore is investing in a high-quality portrait or business headshot. Used judiciously, it can provide a professional yet personal feel to most any marketing material.

These days the Internet and social networking allow incredible access to potentially millions of people. Whether it’s Facebook, Linked in or Plaxo, you owe it yourself to use professionally done portraits or business headshots.

The phrase, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression” is so true, don’t sell yourself short by having a friend take a snapshot. That might work for myspace, but not for mainstream business networking and other professional uses.

The Value of The RAW file format

One of the most significant  image output enhancement options is often ignored by amateur as well as many professional photographers, – the RAW file format.

Shooting in RAW is perceived as  extra work, more data to store and unnecessary since we all know how to shoot good jpegs . . . right?   We don’t ever make an exposure error or concern ourselves with color temperature.   Hummm.
